Pre-CanSkate
Pre-CanSkate is the first step to building your child’s skating skills. In this session they will learn to move forward, stop, fall down safely and get back up. This group program is non-parented and suitable for children ages 3-5 who have little to no skating experience.
Approved CSA helmets are required while on the ice.
StarSkate
StarSkate covers the 5 areas of figure skating: dance, skills, free skate, artistic and synchro. Group lessons are included in your skater’s registration and are led by our certified coaches. Skaters have the opportunity to participate in standardized Skate Canada Assessments and competitions.
CanSkate
CanSkate is a dynamic group session with a curriculum designed to build confidence in skaters who are looking to figure skate, play hockey, speed skate, or skate recreationally. Coaches use music, aids, and fun filled activities that promote learning and independence on the ice.
Approved CSA helmets are required while on the ice.
Adult StarSkate
AdultSkate is growing in popularity and intended for adults 18+ who wish to return to figure skating. Registration provides access to the ice for 3 hours per week, lessons are not included. AdultSkaters have the opportunity to participate in standardized Skate Canada Assessments and competitions.
Hockey Skill Development Progam (HSDP)
The focus of this weekly program is to teach and train the fundamental skating skills required to become a great player. The feet are the foundation to great skating & to play GR8 you must be able to SK8 great. This dynamic, drill based session will introduce, develop and improve edge control, turning, skating & stopping in all dicrections utilizing the ABC's (Agility, Balance and Control). Skaters will spend part of the session working on hockey drills and the other portion honing their technical skating skills.
*Players should have a minimum os two hockey seasons experience before registering for this program.
Advanced CanSkate
Advanced CanSkate is a smaller group session, and the introduction to figure skating. Skaters will work on edges, stroking, turns, and be introduced to free skate and dance. Skaters must have completed Badge 3 in CanSkate or be referred by one of our coaches.
Approved CSA helmets are required while on the ice.
Synchro Skating
Synchronized Skating is figure skating performed in groups from 8-20. Synchro uses technical skills to build speed, transitions and formations. Skaters must be in the StarSkate level to participate in Synchro. Skaters have the opportunity to participate in standardized Skate Canada Assessments and competitions.
